Something New Abrew
I've been working on something different, something pretty big. Can't tell you what it is, or how long til its unveiling, but it'll be worth the wait. :)
New Truther Blog
For questions and points you might not see raised elsewhere on the situation in Haiti, see The Truther Girls newly started blog. It will eventually include many other topics, but Haiti is what prompted its creation.

Sonia and Karen are truth seekers from Montreal, Canada. They - mainly Sonia - have been making a big impression on YouTube since March of 2009. Their videos have over 400,000 views collectively, and their channel currently has almost 4,000 subscribers.... though I'm sure that number doesn't come close to counting their audience base. I, for one, have been a regular watcher for months, but am not a subscriber, as I don't have an account on the site.

"Truthers" - for anyone who has managed to live the last few years without hearing the word - are those who are awakened to the existence of a cesspool of deception and corruption so deep, we may never get to the bottom of it, but we'll never stop digging. We see through propaganda, and we question every questionable thing! To those still sleeping, we are the conspiracy theory nutjobs.
Is The H1N1 Swine Flu Vaccine Causing Miscarriages? 9 New Stories Of Pain And Loss From Pregnant Women Who Lost Their Babies After Receiving The H1N1 Vaccine
Is the H1N1 swine flu vaccine causing miscarriages? Is the vaccine safe for pregnant women to take? Those are questions that thousands upon thousands of pregnant women have wrestled with over the past couple of months as they have decided what to do about the swine flu. The WHO and U.S health authorities insisted that the H1N1 swine flu vaccine was perfectly safe for pregnant women and pushed them to the front of the line. So thousands of women did run out and get themselves injected with the vaccine. Now reports are pouring in from all over the United States of women who have lost their babies very quickly after receiving the H1N1 vaccine. Many of these women are overcome with pain and a feeling of loss and are looking for answers. They end up on sites like this one because the mainstream media won't touch this story with a ten foot pole (lest they offend the pharmaceutical giants and their millions of dollars in ad money). Fortunately there are alternatives to the mainstream media now. The following are stories from 9 of our readers who have lost their babies very soon after getting the H1N1 swine flu vaccine. We challenge anyone who still believes in the safety of this vaccine to read all of the following stories and then to explain to the rest of us why we should not be concerned.

The truth is that the H1N1 swine flu vaccine is NOT safe for pregnant women. The following are unedited personal testimonies left as comments by readers of this site.....

Just a lot of coincidences, right? Yeah, "there's no conspiracy here, folks; just get your damn vaccine!"

The moral of the story is: never let yourself be injected with something unless you know all the ingredients, and have a very clear understanding of what they could do to you (and a baby in the womb) -- especially when your government tells you it's for your own good.

Now let's watch as infertility skyrockets in the next few years. Population control? Naahhh, that's crazy talk.
Classifieds Contact Form
It's now possible to contact classified ad owners without being logged in. When viewing an ad, logged-out visitors will see a form at the bottom of the topic, which, when submitted, sends an email directly to the member who posted the ad. The title of the ad will be in the subject line of the email.
Shiny New Links Section
Our directory of partner links has been updated to be seamlessly integrated with the site (for the html savvy: no more iframe). It has a new look and an even quicker submission form (no need to enter an email address). We're always open to link exchanges with other area sites.
New Web Host
I'm venturing to say I think our days of stormy web hosting services are past and we're in calm, serene seas now-- because I think we've found a different kind of host. After days of hours-on-end searching and researching, I had only a couple of hosts I was considering, and was going to search for more before coming to a decision; however, I couldn't search fast enough to avoid yet more downtime with the old, obviously way oversold (they put too many sites on a server) host, and just wanted to get the site somewhere stabler asap.

Even if the new host doesn't live up to my optimistic prediction, they have to be much better than our last two hosts. We finally received word regarding the server crash that happened maybe 27 days into our short time with the host whose name I won't mention because it's under new management and the crash happened prior to the new owner taking over, and apparently he was not even made aware by the former owner about what was happening with the servers until after he'd agreed to take over. Unfortunately, the worst case scenario did happen and all data posted to the database during the time we were with that host is gone. This means any accounts that were registered, any events or forum messages, etc. posted to the site between approximately July 8th and August 5th have been completely erased from record. :( My apologies for any inconvenience caused to you, and I am taking measures to ensure it won't happen again.

To get back to the good news, our new server utilizes "failover" and "data redundancy" technology... which should equate to very little downtime. They explain failover like this: "If a server goes down, failover software will route mirrored files to the next available server keeping a site online until the downed server is repaired." So here's hoping we've found worry-free hosting, so I can focus on implementing some big plans I have in the works for Meet Port Huron. :)
Hosts Named After Cats Bad Luck?
Just short of 30 days into our new hosting service, they had a server crash... 30 hours later, the site was still down. We're temporarily back with our old host until we can find another. The database contents of the last four weeks are hanging in the balance. Waiting on the host to get it back... or, worst case scenario, to be told they've lost it. Bear with us as we grit our teeth and bear with this. This is the second host named after a wild cat that has no business being in the hosting business. ....But my philosophy when things go badly is that it's all in the master plan. That somehow, something good comes of it... whether I see it or can appreciate it or not. Adversity definitely makes us stronger. It can also be a great motivator. And thirdly, it reminds us to be appreciative when things are going smoothly.
